ScoreTracker (“the app,” “we,” “our”) is an Apple Watch app for keeping score during sports matches. This policy explains what happens with your information when you use it.
The short version: ScoreTracker does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. It has no servers, no account system, and no way to send information anywhere. Everything below explains exactly what that means in practice.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, and the app has no technical means to collect:
- Your name, email address, or any account information (there is no sign-up or login)
- Your location
- Health or fitness data (the app does not request or access HealthKit, despite using your heart rate as a figure of speech in its marketing — it never reads it)
- Photos, contacts, or any other data on your device
- Analytics, usage statistics, or crash reports
- Advertising identifiers
Information Stored On Your Device
ScoreTracker stores the following locally, only on your own Apple Watch, using Apple’s standard on-device storage:
- Match scores and in-progress game state, so you can resume where you left off
- Player names you enter (these can be anything you like — nicknames, initials, etc. — and are never validated against or linked to any real identity)
- Your sport and match-format preferences (points per game, tiebreak settings, and similar)
- App preferences (font, animations, Digital Crown sensitivity, and similar)
This information never leaves your device. We do not have servers, so there is nowhere for it to go. It is not visible to us, and we have no way to access it.
Device backups: Like most apps, this locally stored data may be included in your own personal device backups (for example, if you back up your paired iPhone to iCloud or to a computer). That backup is entirely between you and Apple — we have no access to it, and it’s governed by Apple’s own privacy policy, not this one.
Third-Party Services
ScoreTracker does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or crash-reporting services. No data is shared with any third party, because none is collected in the first place.
Children’s Privacy
ScoreTracker does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your region) — the app has no mechanism to collect information from any user, regardless of age.
Your Rights
Since we don’t collect or store any of your information on our end, there is nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete on request — the data that exists lives only on your device, and you control it entirely. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that does involve data collection — we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above.
Apple’s Own Data Practices
This policy covers ScoreTracker only. It does not cover information Apple itself may collect through the App Store, watchOS, or your Apple Account, which is governed by Apple’s own Privacy Policy.
